At Pierogi House, every dish tells a story—one rooted in the old-world kitchens of Eastern and Central Europe, passed down through generations, and lovingly brought to life by our family.
The inspiration for Pierogi House came from my husband’s deep-rooted culinary heritage and our shared love for cooking and gathering around homemade meals. For both of us, food is more than nourishment—it is tradition, connection, and a way to bring people together across generations and cultures.
His family’s culinary roots trace back to the early 1900s, when his great-grandmothers, Paula and Maria, began their journeys as young cooks in the heart of a rapidly changing Europe. Paula, the daughter of a farmer, learned the refined techniques of Jewish and Galician cuisine in a grand textile magnate’s home in Bielsko-Biała. Maria, meanwhile, trained in a distinguished hotel in Wrocław (then Breslau), mastering the hearty flavors of Prussian and German cooking.
